Back in popular demand - 1K Family Fun Run

2009 LOCATION - SJ McLeod Public School
5449 County Road 26, 2nd Line Road (directions)

We want to encourage healthy active-living to kids of all ages. Youth 12 years and over may compete in the 5K event alone. Run or walk the 1K event as a family, but please note that any child 7 or under must be accompanied by an adult.

Challenge your classmates, teachers, co-workers and family members.
Together we can beat cancer!!!

This annual event started in by a group of local volunteers who are
passionate about wanting to help find a cure. It's organized to remember
our friends and family who have died of this terrible disease and for
those who are living with it.

Over the past 9 years the Glengarry Cancer Run Walk has raised over
$140,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society. In 2008 over $10,000 was raised
with the assistance of a generous $5,000 donation from Scotiabank
Alexandria.
